Abstract: 【Abstract】〓Objective〓To explore the effect of spinous process osteotomy and titanium rete vertebral canaloplasty in the treatment of thoracolumbar vertebral fracture. Methods〓Spinous process osteotomy and titanium rete vertebral canaloplasty were conducted in 41 patients with thoracolumbar fracture between July 2012 and September 2013. All the patients had a follow-up for more than one year postoperatively. Results〓All fractures healed well within 3 months postoperatively in 23 cases, and were general in 17 cases, failed in one cases. After one year follow-up, 40 patients recovered well and the clinical outcomes were significantly improved compared with their preoperative data (P<0.05). No obvious statistical difference was found between their postoperative data and those in one year follow-up. Conclusion Spinous process osteotomy and titanium rete vertebral canaloplasty is efficient in the treatment of horacolumbar fracture patients...It can effectively promote the fracture healing and reduce the recurrence rate.
