Abstract: 【Abstract】 Objective To observe the effect of cold therapy with pulse-type compression on calcaneal fracture patients. Methods The data of 53 patients with unilateral calcaneal fracture from Jan 2010 to Dec 2012 was analyzed retrospectively. All cases received alternative conserving treatment before operation because of intra-articular fracture,.cold therapy with pulse-type compression (CT group, n=36) and common cold compress (CC group, n=17). The patients in CT group were treated with pulsed-wave mode cold therapy on afflicted part (1 hour per time, 3 times a day) for 2 days. Those in CC group received ice bag on afflicted part (20 min per time, 9 times a day) for 2 days. The perimeters round the calcaneus were measured respectively at the time point of admission, 24 and 48 hours after treatment and were compared between two groups. Results After cold therapy 24 h and 48 h, the averaged reduced value of calcaneal circum in CT group were lower than that in CC group (P< 0.05)..The number of cases of complete detumescence and the averaged detumescence time in CT group were also superior to that in CC group. Conclusion Cold therapy with pulse-type compress can obviously improve the local swelling,.shorten the time for detumescence before operation in calcaneal fracture patients and worth to spread in clinic.

摘要： 【摘要】 目的 观察加压冷疗对跟骨骨折术前消肿的效果。方法 53例单侧跟骨关节内骨折患者需保守治疗患者,根据已获得的治疗分为两组:加压冷疗组36例,普通冷敷组17例。加压冷疗组进行脉冲式加压冷疗,每天3次,每次持续1 h,连续2 d;普通冷敷组给予冰袋进行间歇冷敷,每天9次,每次持续 20 min,连续2 d;入院时、冷疗24 h后、冷疗48 h后比较两组患者的跟骨围,跟骨围减少值,观察踝部肿胀情况,并统计消肿所需时间。结果 治疗后24 h和48 h后冷疗加压组平均跟骨围值减少值分别为(8.21±2.21)cm和(9.02±1.28)cm,均明显高于普通冷敷组,两组比较差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);加压冷疗组完全消肿率及消肿时间均优于普通冷敷组(P<0.05)。结论 加压冷疗可以显著改善跟骨骨折患者的局部肿胀,并能缩短手术前的消肿时间,值得临床上推广。
