Abstract: 【Abstract】〓Objective〓To report the experience of single port video-assistant thoracoscopic surgery for non-small cell lung cancer. Methods〓Eighty patients with early stage non-small cell lung cancer were selected and received surgical treatment in our hospital from Jan 2013 to Dec 2015. Among them, 40 patients underwent single-port video-assistant thoracoscopic surgery and 40 patients underwent traditional thoracotomy. The amount of bleeding during operation,time of pulling out the drainage tube, total drainage volume,number of lymph node dissection, postoperative hospital stay and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results〓All the surgical procedures were successfully completed,no death occurred. Compared with thoracotomy group, the number of lymph node dissection and the time of surgery were not significantly different in the single port video-assistant thoracoscopic surgery group. And the amount of bleeding during operation, time of pulling out the drainage tube, total drainage volume and postoperative hospital stay were significantly different between the two groups. Conclusion〓Single port video-assistant thoracoscopic surgery showed less damage and faster recovery when compared with thoracotomy. This technique is safety and worth clinical promotion.
