Abstract:

【Abstract】Objective To study the clinical diagnostic value in the operative biopsy   results of cervical mass. Methods A total of 155 cases with cervical mass (suspicious tumor) underwent lumpectomy and the clinical diagnosis and operative biopsy results were analyzed comparatively. Results In the 155 cases of biopsy results, 67 cases were nonspecific inflammation, 21 cases were tuberculosis of cervical lymph nodes, 34 cases were malignant tumors, 9 cases were thyroglossal duct cyst, 4 cases were hemangioma. The rest included lymph water cyst in 5 cases, schwannoma in 8, branchial cleft cyst in 3, desmoid fibroma in one,.ectopic thyroid in 2,.esophageal diverticulum in one..Forty-seven of 155 cases were misdiagnosed before biopsy examination. Conclusion Reasonable diagnose and treatment process, experience and multidisciplinary cooperation are beneficial to promoting the diagnostic level of cervical mass.
