Abstract: 【Abstract】〓Objective〓To review the experience of perioperative management for large goiter disease. Methods〓Sixty-seven cases with large goiter from January 2011 to 2014 June were analyzed retrospectively. All patients were performed surgical treatment under general anesthesia. Results〓All operation were completed smoothly and the patients got recovery..Temporary functional disorder of nervus laryngeus superior appeared in 3 cases,and hypocalcemia appeared in 5 cases..The complications were getting good in 3 months after operation..The pathological results of 34 cases showed Graves' disease, 23 cases nodular goiter with fibrosis and calcification, 3 cases toxic nodular goiter; 3 cases nodular goiter with chronic thyroiditis, 2 sases thyroid follicular carcinoma, 2 cases thyroid adenoma..Conclusion〓The key factors for the operation are associated with sufficient preoperative preparation, good surgical exposure and fine operation.
