Abstract: 【Abstract】〓Objective〓To investigate the prognostic value of preoperative serum fibrinogen in patients with breast cancer patients after curative resection. Methods〓A total of 168 cases of patients with breast cancer were enrolled in this study. The medical records of patients were reviewed and the relationship between preoperative serum fibrinogen levels and clinical pathological features and prognosis were analyzed. Results〓The preoperative level of fibrinogen was significantly associated with TNM stage and lymph node metastasis. Preoperative fibrinogen was significantly higher in the group with advanced TNM stage and lymph node metastasis. Fibrinogen, lymph node metastasis were recognized as independent risk factors affecting the prognosis(P<0.05). Conclusion〓In the present study, preoperative level of fibrinogen correlated to TNM staging and lymph node metastasis. A high preoperative fibrinogen level could predict poor prognosis for patientswith breastcancerafter curative resection.
