Abstract: 【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of fast track surgery (FTS) for colorectal tumor during perioperative period. Methods Fifty -six patients with colorectal tumor received FTS(n=28)and conventional perioperative management (n=28). Outcomes were assessed by clinical parameters of preoperative general status, time to restore bowel function, time of oral intake of food,and postoperative complications rate. Results The complication rate showed no statistically significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05). FTS group had significantly shorter gastrointestinal recovery time and early oral intake of food (P<0.05). Meanwhile, compared with the CPM group, the FTS group had less days with getting flatulence and abdominal pain (P<0.05). Conclusions Application of FTS is feasible and effective for patients with colorectal tumor.It can accelerate recovery after operation.
